Message from the CEO


After nearly 13 years, the trailer, which housed Hoya Federal Credit Union was removed from the campus of Georgetown University. The time had come to retire the trailer as the credit union was granted space occupied by the GoCard office in Darnall Hall. With hospital construction to take place for the next few years, the trailer was simply in the way of progress. The move to the new space is very timely as the credit union has undergone a transformation that we believe will better serve our members. The new location, next to Epicurean and the Student Health Center, provides much more visibility and the opportunity tell the credit union story. There is value in belonging to Georgetown Federal Credit Union. Compared to banks and other financial institutions, our rates on loan products and lower fees are overall much better. The service that we offer is one of people helping people.

We know that for many of our members, the trailer will hold memories for years to come. Whether it was easier access for some or the non-traditional banking structure that represented what credit unions are all about-people helping people, the philosophy of what we do will never change. We carry this tradition of helping people to attain their dreams and provide people with a second chance in life into the new space. Our members can continue to expect quality member service and affordable low cost on products. We hope that you will continue to use Georgetown Federal Credit Union, a Not-for-Profit financial institution, and to encourage others to join our family.
